“We will be working to accelerate unabated coal phase-out across the world, building stronger economies and more resilient communities,” Kerry said in a statement. What a colossal failure that will be in getting China to go along with that. Destroying capitalism and ignoring the socialist’s impact is typical leftist philosophy.
Did you read the part where the analyst said that market forces were doing this already? Do you understand what capitalism is? If a president decided to force energy companies to open coal plants when the MARKET dictated they should be moving to renewables, THAT would be a good example of “destroying capitalism.”
If China’s not doing it, then why should WE??? Let’s destroy the world’s environment together!
A resilient power system would include coal – the idea being that multiple fuels are available for fail-over. More nukes would be wise, too. Instead, U.S. power policy is being driven by ideology, forced down our throats by a government that gives not a care about the population. The same thing the U.S. did to the Germans by blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline, leading to massive price hikes for consumers and significant deindustrialization there – they’re dead-set on doing here.
I will be working to accelerate the unabated John Kerry and Biden administration phase-out.
