What a joke…
Total joke! Agreed.
Did anyone really expect someone named Heater to be receptive to a cooling off period?
I’ll see myself out.
Pulled directly from the IN.Gov IG Ethics Code Examples page: [You work for the Utility Regulatory Commission making *regulatory decisions* concerning a public utility company. You may not work for this utility company for a year.]
Pulled from the IEC Our Purpose page [Indiana Electric Cooperatives exists to unify, *LEAD*, serve and advocate for our member cooperatives.]
I would agree that the IEC is physically not an actual *end supplier* but does manage multiple end suppliers that are under IURC control. If Indiana is going to write law it should be followed. Some may say I’m being an armchair quarterback but it is always easier AFTER the fact to make decisions. That said, maybe an advisory opinion from the State Ethics Commission is *now* warranted here?
IEC does not “manage” any end suppliers but rather was formed by electric cooperatives to perform certain functions; one of which is lobbying the Indiana Legislature. Regardless, all IEC member cooperatives are no longer rate-regulated by the IURC.
