    1. Agreed! Why can’t people just take the subway or the train to get there? No one has cars these days, any way!

    1. Citizens Energy still uses the water for cooling at the steam plant. Plus the current dam is the ideal redesign, if a dam is still needed. It doesn’t create a people eating vortex at the base, and it still allows for movement of fish up and down stream.

  1. Looking forward to seeing this completed. The river has been such a underutilized asset especially since we have no mountains and oceans here in Indiana.

    1. That is complete. The expansion extended the plaza into the parking lot and the Zoo added an overflow lot across the railway tracks.

    2. I wondered about that too. Weren’t they going to build a big elephant area and a bridge over washington? That was announced years ago and nothing ever happened.

    Don’t know how Indiana is going to pay for this.

    Wonderful (read sarcastically). More taxes we will be paying. I hope the CIB isn’t in charge. They have a lousy track record of spending money wisely. But then again, don’t most government agencies?
