Vertex Intelligence, a data-analysis company, announced plans Thursday to expand operations in Zionsville, creating up to 37 high-wage jobs by the end of 2024.
The 3-year-old company, which is leasing space at zWorks coworking center, said it plans to spend nearly $270,000 to grow its team from five to more than 40. It is evaluating new office space in Zionsville.
Vertex said it is actively hiring for machine learning, sales and operations roles.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Vertex up to $650,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in conditional training grants based on the job-creation plans. The incentives hinge on the company’s ability to meet hiring goals.
Founded by data scientist Tyler Foxworthy, Vertex has helped institutions like the U.S. Department of Defense and companies like medical device quality management software company Greenlight Guru design, build and ship artificial intelligence products. The company provides services such as custom algorithm development, data and AI strategy, statistical modeling and cloud-based data analysis.
Foxworthy, CEO and chief scientist at Vertex, was previously chief scientist at local digital marketing firm DemandJump and chief data scientist at Indianapolis-based KSM Consulting.
