Democrat Hillary Clinton will talk about manufacturing and her plan for keeping jobs in the U.S. during stops in Hammond and Mishawaka on Tuesday, while former President Bill Clinton will be in Indianapolis visiting one of his wife's campaign offices.
Hillary Clinton plans to tour Munster Steel in Hammond, where she will discuss her “support for Indiana's steel industry and pledge her support to hold China accountable for trade abuses, such as steel dumping,” the campaign said.
In Mishawaka, she will tour the AM General plant and then deliver remarks to the employees.
Bill Clinton plans to talk about his wife's plans to try to raise incomes when he stops at a Hillary for Indiana office at 7235 N. Keystone Ave. at 11:30 a.m.
The visits come on primary Election Day in Pennsylvania and four other East Coast states. Indiana will then be next up to vote—on May 3—where Clinton is up in polls over her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, who has not yet announced a campaign trip to the state.
