A pro-Ted Cruz Super PAC is dropping even more money on political advertisements in the state, capitalizing on Carly Florina’s decision to join his ticket Wednesday as a vice presidential candidate.
Trusted Leadership PAC spent $350,000 in Indiana today on a new national-security based ad in support of the Cruz-Fiorina ticket. The ad is called “A Serious Leader.”
“We need to do whatever is necessary to defeat ISIS,” Cruz says in the ad’s opening, and audio clips of him speaking in debates about his national security plan play over video of soldiers fighting overseas and children playing in America.
Fiorina is shown in the clip at the end.
“This is the fight of our time, and I believe Ted Cruz is the man to lead that fight,” she says.
The PAC said in a news release that it had already spent $1.6 million in Indiana: including $200,000 on TV, $50,000 on digital ads, $50,000 on the “ground game” and more than $50,000 on radio ads.
