Does anyone know what to expect from “Prufrock Coffee Co?” Food items? Anything else?
The Downtown CVS isn’t surprising with a Mass Ave and now CityWay location opening; but the CVS at 38th/Illinois is another hit to the neighborhood. While not the best for grocery shopping, it was a location to get food for area residents. After the loss of the local grocer on the corner earlier this year – that area is left with Dollar General and Family Dollar. Safeway is up the road about 1.5 miles on bus line – but usually higher prices.
Be great if an Aldi could fit into that corner.
Interesting that CVS is transferring the 38th St prescriptions to 16th and Meridian rather than to the CVS at 56th and Illinois, a closer location. Based on customers’ home addresses?
David D,
maybe those prescriptions at the 38th Street store are being moved to the 16th & Meridian store because both stores are within Center Township. The 56th and Illinois store is in Washington Township. 38th Street is the dividing line between six of the nine townships in Indianapolis/Marion county.
Busline.
When it comes to Food Deserts in Indy, i would hope that Kroger would consider opening its no frills Ruler Food stores to replaced the loss of Marsh and Double 8s.
