Mike Braun

Mike Braun

Governor

Bio

Governor Mike Braun is a lifelong job creator. Over 37 years, he grew a small Main Street business with a handful of employees into a national industry leader.

Now, he is proud to bring that experience to state government to grow jobs, raise wages, and make life more affordable for Hoosier families.

Governor Braun is focused on building an Indiana economy that delivers where it matters most: at the kitchen table. His economic development strategy is focused on two goals: higher wages for Hoosiers and new job opportunities in every region of the state.

This approach is already showing results: Indiana’s real GDP and wages are growing faster than the national average and faster than neighboring states. Unemployment has fallen even as national unemployment ticked up, average hourly earnings are up 5.2%, and Indiana is doing more with each taxpayer dollar, with incentive spending per committed job down 67% while wages for those jobs are rising.

With tools like Power Up Indiana and the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Hoosier workers are retraining for higher paid positions, and Hoosier entrepreneurs are empowered to create new Main Street jobs.

Governor Braun’s message to job creators is simple: if you want to build, hire, invest, and grow with a state that treats you like a partner instead of a piggybank, Indiana is open for business.
