It’s not just houses that are going cheap right now. So are tickets to some of Indy’s prime arts events.
–At the Indianapolis Opera site, you can land a 50% discount on tickets to this weekend’s epic collaboration between IO and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on Wagner’s “Das Rheingold.” Find it here. And say hello if you see me there on Sunday.
–At the Phoenix Theatre, $15-a-ticket Wednesday performances have been added for the hilarious, who-thinks-of-these-things? musical comedy “The Zippers of Zoomerville.” You can see my comments on the show a few blogs back here. FYI: The same discount ticket price works on Thursdays as well. For more on the show and deal, click here.
–The Cabaret at the Connoisseur Room is hoping to introduce first-timers to the art of cabaret through a two-for-one ticket deal. It’s only available for those who have not been to the new space on Ohio St. Info on upcoming shows can be found at www.thecabaret.org — but don’t look for the deal there. You can only get it by calling the box office at 294-7005.
So, do any of these inspire you to sample the work? And do you know of any other major discounts available this week? (If you are a PR person for such an organization, feel free to post — but make sure you identify your affiliation.
