F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" gets the Baz Luhrmann treatment in a new film version of the American classic.
Luhrmann, as you may recall, also directed "Moulin Rouge," "Romeo + Juliet" and "Strictly Ballroom," so don't expect this one to look anything like the less-than-classic Robert Redford version from 1974. The new one stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. And, in a move usually reserved for science fiction and fantasy epics, this "Gatsby" is in 3D.
Want to see it before your peers?
I've got a batch of passes to give away to a May 7 screening at the Regal UA Galaxy Theatre. Just enter below and name another classic novel that you think is ripe for a cinematic redo. I'll pick winners at random until the passes are gone.
Good luck.
