Big pigs, elephant ears, competing hot tub salespeople and, of course, an ice show.
Yes, the Indiana State Fair is back in business and, for me, the weekend was anchored by a trip there for both food and entertainment in preperation for this week's double-header of stories in the A&E Etc. section of the IBJ.
Afterwards, my usual First Friday gallery hop was limited to a brief pop into the Harrison Center. The reason: I needed to get to the Indy Fringe preview event at the Indiana Landmarks Center, where most of the acts not coming in from out of town offered snippets of their shows to a packed house. (Full disclosure: I'm involved in two shows at this years fest.)
What about your weekend? Did you get to the Fair? Take in Indy Jazz Fest's night at Conner Prairie? Explore First Friday options?
