There were lots of A&E options this weekend. Mandy Patinkin at the Palladium. Cher at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Meow Meow at the Cabaret.
Me, I opted for "The Mountaintop" at the IRT (see review here) and No Exit Performance's "Middletown" at Indy Indie Artist Colony (thoughts on that production posted soon). I also finally watched Christopher Plummer in his one-man John Barrymore show on the DVR and, following last week's American Theatre Critics Association conference at the Humana Festival, read "Under the Copper Beech: Conversations with American Theatre Critics" to learn more about the history of regional theater writing.
