“The Revenge of Prince Zi Dan”
Shanghai Peking Opera Company brings its “Hamlet” variation to Purdue University, following a long history of non-English adaptations of Shakespeare. But this isn’t just an operatic reskinning of the classic. Peking Opera makes use of ritual action, acrobatics and elaborate costuming.
