It seemed like theater was everywhere this weekend–and I caught as much of it as I could, with visits to the Phoenix Theatre’s “November,” Indianapolis Civic Theatre’s “Little Shop of Horrors,” and Actors Theatre of Indiana’s “Perfect Wedding.” More on those in this next week’s print column (past reviews can be found at www.ibj.com). Also found time for “Burn After Reading,” the new Coen brothers film.
So what did you get to over the past few days? Join the crowd the Kenny Chesney concert? Catch the multiple kitties at Theatre on the Square? Visit the multiplex? Visit the Indianapolis Art Center’s faculty show? Or just have an in-house date night for the season opener of “Saturday Night Live”?
Your thoughts?
Oh, and in case you missed it, there’s a lively blog discussion going on here regarding last week’s post about David Mamet’s comments on acting schools. A number of local theater notables have chimed in. Check it out–and add your thoughts.
