The Zionsville Redevelopment Commission is considering an offer for 1.6 acres near 106th Street and Bennett Parkway.
In January, the town solicited bids for the property located on the southeast corner of the intersection but didn’t receive any offers, Zionsville Director of Planning and Economic Development Wayne DeLong said.
At that time, the town required the proposed investment to be at least $2.5 million.
Earlier this month, Indianapolis-based Scannell Properties submitted an offer for nearly $70,000 for the property with an agreement to dedicate right-of-way for a potential future roundabout at 106th and Bennett Parkway.
Christopher Miller, development manager for Scannell Properties, said the company has explored options for the site but doesn’t have a specific project planned yet. It will likely be a warehouse or office building, he said.
The Zionsville Redevelopment Commission met Monday, but did not vote on the offer.
The land is just outside the designated Creekside Corporate Park, where the 150,000-square-foot Hat World Inc. headquarters is under construction and to the north of the FedEx Ground distribution center.
