More retail space is set to be added to the Fishers Marketplace development near 131st Street and State Road 37.
Terre Haute-based Thompson Thrift announced Tuesday that it had finalized the purchase of another 1.7 acres and crews will break ground on a new 10,900-square-foot multi-tenant retail building this month.
The building, located at 13272 Market Square Drive, will be anchored by Louisville-based Wild Eggs and Jimmy John’s.
It marks the third Wild Eggs location planned for the Indianapolis area. In November, the brunch franchise announced new restaurants in downtown Indianapolis and Carmel. It’s also the second new northern suburb outlet in the works for Jimmy John’s. The sandwich shop chain is also opening its first store in Noblesville near State Road 37 and Pleasant Street. Two locations already exist in Fishers.
About 4,800 square feet of space remains available in the new retail building. According to plans filed with the city of Fishers, the space will be split for three tenants.
The 104-acre mixed-use development led by Thompson Thrift already includes Walmart Neighborhood Market, Lake City Bank, City Barbeque, Zaxby’s, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, American Mattress, Taco Bell and Horizon Bank. Aurelio’s Pizza is expected to open soon.
Children’s Learning Adventure also recently closed its purchase of 3.3 acres for a 30,000-square-foot state-of-the-art children’s educational facility to be located near State Road 37 and 135th Street within the Fishers Marketplace next to Zaxby’s and Taco Bell. It will be the second location for the childcare facility in Indiana. The company has plans to open in Carmel as well.
In other new retail construction, a 6,400-square-foot building is being proposed near 116th Street and Olio Road by Zinkan Enterprises LLC. The property is within the Towne Center at Geist shopping area, which includes Kroger, Murphy’s PubHouse, Great Clips and Royal Nails, to name a few tenants.
Baltimore-based Atapco Properties has also proposed a 10,424-square-foot multi-tenant retail structure planned along Guilford Road between Carmel and City Center drives. The project, dubbed Carmel Lakeside Retail, includes 6.3 acres.
According to plans filed with the city, the building will have space for seven tenants.
