Westfield could be getting a Meijer.
The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based grocery and general merchandise chain has filed plans with the city for a 190,000-square-foot store on the southeast corner of Springmill Road and State Road 32.
Meijer would purchase about 35 acres of land for its first store and 2,500-square foot convenience store and gas station in Westfield and invest $20 million to $30 million, according to city officials.
Documents show space for three outlots along S.R. 32 with Meijer on the south end of the property.
More detailed plans are expected to be approved in the spring.
A spokesperson for Meijer did not respond to a request from IBJ.
Meijer has locations in Carmel and Noblesville as well as several in Indianapolis. A Meijer is under construction on North Keystone Avenue at 56th Street.
It is also planning to break ground in McCordsville in May for a store at County Road 700 West and State Road 67.
