One of the largest environmental consulting firms in the area is moving its headquarters from Fishers to Noblesville.
Golars Environmental and Remediation Services, now headquartered at 7732 Loma Court near Hague Road, plans to move to 15755 North Pointe Boulevard in Noblesville by the end of August, according to CEO Om Narla.
The company has acquired an 11,000-square-foot building off State Road 37 that formerly housed a Golden Corral restaurant. Narla declined to provide the purchase price for the building, which had been listed on LoopNet for $1.8 million.
Narla said the company has outgrown its space in Fishers, prompting the move. The firm has 45 employees and 12 open positions.
Golars, founded in 2008, provides services in environmental remediation and contamination cleanup, brownfield site remediation, air quality management and vapor intrusion investigation and management.
The company is ranked as the 10th largest environmental consulting firm in the Indianapolis area, according to IBJ research. In 2014, the company had $7.2 million in local billings—more than double what it reported in 2013.
Narla said the company is doing “extremely well” and intends to expand into other states.
