What better way to wake you up on a rainy Thursday than with a little coffee news? Here goes:
Borders plans to transform its coffee shop and cafe downtown into a Seattle’s Best Coffee, which is set to open in July. Other Borders locations probably will follow suit. Seattle’s Best is owned by Starbucks.
Starbucks plans to add a new coffee shop along Madison Avenue near Southport Road on the south side. The chain filed plans for the 1,775-square-foot store yesterday.
Dunkin Donuts filed plans today for a new, 2,100-square-foot location on the northwest side at 1216 West 86th St., near Ditch Road.
