The Speedway Redevelopment Commission has unveiled its vision for the redevelopment of 400 acres bordered by Main Street, Olin Avenue, and 10th and 16th streets. They’re calling it The Speed Zone and want to transform the area into a mixed-use, pedestrian friendly destination for race fans. The master plan is the culmination of more than a year of meetings and input from residents and businesses. You can find more information about the plan and the process here.
