Presley Presents, a new family dinner theater and banquet facility, is planned for 4,700 square feet in a strip center along 96th Street behind Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant and Claddagh Irish Pub. The attraction will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets Monday through Thursday, and live entertainment from comics, singers and impersonators on Friday and Saturday nights, said Art Small, one of the owners. On Sundays, the center will host "The Gospel Buffet" with entertainment from church choirs. The facility is scheduled to open in July. - La Margarita, a locally owned Mexican restaurant, plans to open a new location in Fountain Square's Murphy Arts Building. The new spot, owned by Lori Rangel-Grubbs, will feature the same menu as the flagship restaurant at 96th and Meridian streets, along with an upscale bar offering more than 70 types of tequila and an outdoor dining area along the Cultural Trail. They hope to open in July.
- Stacked Pickle, a homegrown restaurant and bar in Carmel, plans to open a new location in Fishers. The Pickle is taking about 5,000 square feet in the Marsh-anchored Fishers Station strip center at the northeast corner of 116th Street and Allisonville Road. Owner Chris Long hopes to open the restaurant in late August. The Carmel location is at 12545 Old Meridian St.
- Chicago's Pizza is opening a new restaurant at the southwest corner of County Line Road and U.S. 31 in Greenwood. The 4,100-square-foot space previously was home to a Blockbuster Video. Chicago's also has restaurants in Indianapolis, Bargersville, Clermont, Franklin, Greenfield, McCordsville and Plainfield.
- Pioneer, a new restaurant, bar and music hall, is planned for Fountain Square in the former home of Deano's Vino. Owner Bryce Caldwell bought the 8,000-square-foot building at 1110 S. Shelby St. in December, and plans to build a 4,200-square-foot addition to house the music venue. This story was first reported in IBJ's Real Estate Weekly. Read the story here.
- City Barbeque plans to open a second central Indiana restaurant, in Avon. The Ohio-based chain has filed plans for a 4,100-square-foot location at 9116 Rockville Road, just east of Raceway Road. The chain's first location opened last year at 7863 U.S. 31 South.
- J.T. Johnson's American Grill has opened in the former home of Damon's Grill at Interstate 65 and Southport Road. Owner Todd Johnson, who also owns the Mucky Duck Pub, bought the 7,300-square-foot building earlier this year.
- Mr. Dan's, the local burger chain, plans to open a new restaurant on the site of a former Waffle House at 2621 W. 16th St. Owner James Sims also plans to open a No Limit Barber and Beauty Shop in the 4,700-square-foot building, which is set for a makeover.
- Jason's Deli has filed plans for a new restaurant at 12405 N. Meridian St., just south of Carmel Drive. The Houston-based chain plans to take about 4,000 square feet in the strip center.
- Asia Bistro is taking 1,200 square feet in the Fishers Station strip center at the northeast corner of 116th Street and Allisonville Road. The center owned by Kite Realty Group has undergone an extensive makeover.
- Starbucks plans to open a coffee shop in the new JW Marriott Indianapolis. The chain is taking about 1,400 square feet previously used as conference space.
- DriveTime, a chain of car dealerships that competes with locally based J.D. Byrider for customers with "less-than-perfect" credit, has filed plans to open a second central Indiana location at 3717 Lafayette Road. The Phoenix-based chain already has one local dealership flying its flag, at 1202 N. Shadeland Ave.
- The National Bank of Indianapolis has filed plans for a new 5,000-square-foot branch in Carmel. The bank at 613 E. Carmel Drive replaces a former Burger King restaurant.
- Chinland Asian Grocery is set to replace a former Mexican restaurant at 2351 E. Stop 11 Road, just east of Madison Avenue. The store is taking 1,200 square feet.
- Zing Restaurant, the homegrown restaurant at 543 Indiana Ave., has closed. Property Lines first reported the closure on Twitter. Follow @propertylines.
