A quirky California chain that boasts "one of the largest and craziest selections of glass bottled soda pops and retro candies for sale in America" plans to open its first Indiana store next to Potbelly Sandwich Shop on Monument Circle. Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop is taking the former home of a Bank of America mortgage office in the first floor of the Circle Tower in the southeast quadrant of the Circle. The stores offer hundreds of varieties of soda and candies, along with retro and gag gifts, concert and movie posters, and tin signs. A few of the more out-there soda flavors include bacon, buffalo wing, peanut butter and jelly, apple pie, sweet corn, watermelon and cotton candy. The chain lists 25 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada and Tennessee. Other than the flagship store in California, the chain's locations are independently operated by franchisees. No word yet on an opening date for the local store.
