Buffalo Wild Wings plans to relocate its Broad Ripple restaurant to a new freestanding building at the southwest corner of 62nd and Rural streets outside Glendale Town Center. Shopping center owner Kite Realty Group is selling the vacant property. The 7,300-square-foot restaurant is scheduled to open at the end of May, said franchise owner Dan Holland. He said the location is a better fit than Broad Ripple for the chain's evolution into a more family-driven concept. It also offers more convenient parking for customers. -
RA Nightclub, a new offering from the owners of Brewstone Beer Company, is taking the former home of Peppers in Broad Ripple.
The dance club and entertainment complex is taking 13,336 square feet on the first floor and basement of the building at the southeast corner of College and Broad Ripple avenues. The space is across the street from a new parking garage and retail development by Keystone Group. RA, which is slated to open Dec. 13, is not taking the vacant first-floor space at the corner. The restaurant Brewstone opened earlier this year in the 15,000-square-foot former home of Music Mill on 82nd Street west of Dean Road. - Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is building a new restaurant at 2902 Madison Ave., on the site of a building that over the years housed Chicago Grill and Big Kahuna's Pizza. The new Popeyes is part of a mini building boom in the area. Newer O'Reilly Auto Parts and Family Dollar stores have sprouted up across the street, and a new location for the used-car dealership Carplex is under construction at the former home of Sport Bowl along East Street between Hanna and National avenues.
- Mo's A Place for Steaks is planning a grand opening next week for its new location at Clay Terrace in Carmel. The restaurant plans an open-to-the-public grand opening event starting at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 with free hors d'oeuvres and $5 cocktails with all proceeds benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The restaurant will open at 4:30 p.m. for dinner service seven days a week.
- Southern Kitchen, a new soul-food restaurant "with a healthy side", is taking a 2,200-square-foot space in a strip center along 96th Street just east of Interstate 69 in Fishers. Owners Deborah Slack and Denise Mirro plan to open the restaurant, which is taking a space behind Huntington Bank and next to AT&T, in the spring.
- Qdoba is opening a new restaurant in Southern Plaza. The popular chain is taking 2,500 square feet in a former Blockbuster Video location at 4200 S. East St.
