Local senior-living complex more than doubles assisted-living units in $5M expansion
A Fishers-based developer plans to build a 90-unit apartment community east of Township Line road and north of 86th Street, behind a shopping center that includes Kahn's Fine Wines & Spirits and Planet Fitness. The roughly $12 million project, dubbed The Preserve at Willow Springs, will target the "renter by choice" market with high-end one- and two-bedroom units that include direct-access garages and green features such as a solar-paneled clubhouse, electric vehicle charging stations and tankless water heaters (they plan to seek LEED certification). Units will rent for $899 to $1,599. Developer Becovic Companies also owns an adjacent apartment community called The Springs, and it owns and manages Central Park at Metropolis in Plainfield. The "big house" design of the Preserve at Willow Springs was developed by Dallas-based Humphreys & Partners Architects. Becovic secured zoning approval last week. The first apartments are scheduled for occupancy in August.
