Kroger Central Division President Bob Moeder and Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Jim Morris jointly announced
a â??comprehensive partnershipâ?? at an 11 a.m. news conference today. The announcement included a dramatic unveiling of the
new
center court scoreboard, large courtside DLP screens and box office billboard showcasing the Kroger logo for dozens of Kroger
and Pacers employees on hand for the announcement.
Additional details of the new partnership will be highlighted on July 2 during the Indiana Fever game against the Connecticut
Sun at Conseco Fieldhouse.Ã?Â
The agreement makes Kroger the Official Sponsor of the Indiana Fever and the Exclusive Supermarket Sponsor of the Indiana
Pacers for the next five years.
Financial details of the deal were not released, but sports marketers estimated it in the low- to mid-seven figure range over
five years.
Kroger and the teams will move forward with an ambitious promotional partnership that includes signage, television, radio,
print, billboards, internet, a significant number of event appearances and other shared promotional opportunities.Ã?Â
