TechPoint today announced the finalists for its 2007 Mira Awards, which honor the top performers in technology-related industries.

Finalists were broken down into 12 categories covering the information technology, life science and advanced manufacturing industries; educators also will be honored for their contributions to high-tech business.

Winners will be recognized at a banquet May 18 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

Judges include three panels of local business and community leaders.

The Mira Awards are in their eighth year despite the December acquisition of TechPoint by the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership. Since then, CICP has shifted TechPoint’s focus some.

What had been a trade group with a wide mission to serve all of Indiana’s high-tech firms now is an IT-focused business-development initiative, similar to other CICP projects like BioCrossroads for the life science sector.
