  1. What a cop out by the NCAA. They chose to drop all the rules instead of coming up with revisions, now they want Congress to bail them out. Pitiful. What’s their point of existing if they’re going to abdicate their responsibility on this issue?

    1. Bingo. They have no point or power anymore. It’s about influence and social media presence. Without it “student-athletes are left to fend for themselves.”

  2. You would think that a country that is 31 trillion dollar in debt would have real world problems to deal with of than professional sports lite!

    Athletes at State fund institutions should be required to fully reimburse the taxpayer for the opportunity to earn NIL income! This should be done at the State level.

    1. Given the value that some athletes deliver to the institution in terms of publicity and increased applications for students, among others, I don’t think that’s a very fair policy. Even Butler saw a spike in applications thanks to their basketball team.
