The state also reported eight new deaths due to COVID-19, lifting the cumulative total to 13,108.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 slipped from 850 on Tuesday to 841 on Wednesday. They are down from 1,019 on May 4. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 5,281 new individuals.
The state said 2.37 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 2.55 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
