I must be frank: These shootings are a direct result of Republican policies that help dangerous, angry and unstable individuals buy or own guns, as well as their party’s unwavering loyalty to the gun lobby that finances their campaigns.
As we emerge from this pandemic, we can’t just return to the status quo that hurt working families, and ultimately our economy.
However, we cannot forget what put our city, and the entire world, into these dire straits in the first place—a deadly pandemic that is not over yet.

Congress has a duty to hold the president, regardless of party, accountable to the law and to the people he was elected to serve. I believe it’s not only necessary, but right, that Congress conduct a thorough and fair impeachment inquiry to find the facts.
As a nation, we remain in the middle of a long and arduous economic recovery, so it should be no surprise that the most important issue facing the 7th District is how we continue to grow our economy. We must continue moving forward. I am committed to doing everything I can to put Hoosiers back to work.
