It's been a while since I've offered tickets here for an IBJ Movie Night. Why? Frankly, not much in theaters has gotten me excited.
But when I heard that a film had been made based on Kazuo Ishiguro's outstanding novel, "Never Let Me Go," I knew I had to make it the next IBJ cinematic event.
Will the film, which stars Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan as boarding school students, live up to the novel? I'm really looking forward to finding out.
Why am I not giving you more details on the plot? Because this is a film I think it's best to go into without much knowledge. Just know that the writer was also responsible for "The Remains of the Day."
The screening will be Tuesday, October 5 at Landmark's Keystone Art Cinema.
I'll notify winners by e-mail later this week. And you'll have to pick up your pass at IBJ's downtown office.
While it won't help you win (names will be randomly drawn), you can help make this interesting by naming, below, your favorite movie named after a song lyric.
Good luck.
