For me, the weekend included a visit to the first Indiana Artisan Marketplace at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Vendors I spoke to were thrilled with the crowds.
There was also the Friday night opening reception for the Indianapolis Art Center's show celebrating the work of the last round of Creative Renewal Grant Recipients, the finals of the American Pianists Association Fellowship Awards, and the opening of the Indiana Landmarks Center (including a two-song set from John Mellencamp). More on the latter two in an upcoming column.
