For me, the weekend meant David Hyde Pierce and Michael Feinstein at the opening of the Tarkington (thoughts here), plus lots of testing of new games at GenCon (more on that in an upcoming column).
Oh, and I also caught "Crazy Stupid Love," which had more "Oh, come on" moments than any movie in recent memory. I think the steam from my ears negated the air conditioning in the theater. I could go off on a rant here, but I won't…because I followed it with "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" which, in spite of some logic lapses, was better than it had any right to be.
