For me, the weekend included the rolling world premiere of "Jericho" at the Phoenix Theatre. (What's a rolling world premiere? Well, the Phoenix is part of a network where new plays get productions staged at multiple theaters with different casts, directors, etc.) More on the play here or in my column soon.
Also in the weekend-that-was: Indianapolis Opera's double-bill of one-act, one-singer operas. More on that later as well.
I also took a trek around the lake at the Indianapolis Museum of Art's 100 Acres Art & Nature Park, shot some hoops on "Free Basket," and perhaps violating the intent of the work, threw a football around inside the "Park of the Laments."
And I spent car time listening to some new Indy-artist CDs for an upcoming column (feel free to send me a note if you have any to recommend).
And you?
Did you gallery hop for First Friday? Join Rodgers and Hammerstein with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra? Go to a Spirt & Place event?
What did you hear, see or do this weekend?
