For me, the weekend included six shows in Chicago caught while attending the American Theatre Critics Association annual conference. Among them: The outstanding original musical "Eastland" at Lookingglass and the Phylicia Rashad-directed "Immediate Family." More on these and others in an upcoming column.
I also started screening films that will be part of July's Indianapolis International Film Festival. The goal: Distilling a list of recommended films by the time the fest begins July 19.
