Yes, I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (and live tweeted it @louharry) and overindulged in food over the holiday weekend.
And, after that, I was thrilled to see that I wasn't the only one hungry for live entertainment. Both the Phoenix Theatre's "A Very Phoenix Xmas: Angels We Have Heard While High" and ComedySportz's adults-only show "A Christmas Carol Unscripted" had packed houses Friday evening (more on both in an upcoming column).
I also caught up on a pile of movies over the weekend, including "12 Years a Slave," "Lee Daniels' The Butler," "Enough Said," "Great Expectations," and "The Company You Keep." Watch for my roundup of the best movies of the year as soon as I get through another 10 or so contenders.
Speaking of movies, watch for an IBJ Night at the Movies sneak preview announcement coming soon, right here on the blog.
How about you?
Did you take your out-of-town guests to see the Matisse show at the IMA? Check out "Ice Age Giants" at the Indiana State Museum (see my review here)? Continue the holiday tradition of visiting the IRT's "A Christmas Carol"?
What did you do on the A&E front over the holiday weekend?
