For me, the weekend included Dance Kaleidoscope's outstanding "Picture This" at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Featuring two older pieces choreographed by David Hochoy and inspired by paintings in the IMA collection, it left me hoping that Hochoy will spend more time perusing the collection. How about a sequel soon?
I also finished reading Michael Pennington's "Hamlet: A User's Guide," in which the actor engagingly explores the play and discusses the options it affords actors and directors. I'm looking forward to reading his similar books on "Twelfth Night" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream." And to seeing Acting Up Productions' "Hamlet" in July.
And you? Did you get to the final days of the IMA's Robert Indiana show? See the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Children's Choir et al. at the Palladium? Swing into a movie theater for the Spider-man sequel?
What did you see, hear or do on the A&E front over the weekend?
