He’s got theater (“Cabaret,”), TV (“The Good Wife”), movies (“X Men 2”) and even kids stuff (yes, he’s the voice of Gutsy Smurf) well covered. Now Alan Cumming takes the cabaret stage in a concert in which he promises to sing “sappy songs.” Previous performances indicate that those titles could include “If Love Were All,” “The Ladies Who Lunch,” and a version of Adele’s “Someone Like You.”

At this month’s gallery hop, “Darkroom Revelations” highlight work by a group of photographers who recently joined the Circle City Industrial Complex Artists collective; Indy Indie Artist Colony showcases work by surrealist painter Josh Hynes in a show titled “Surreal Cognition;” the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library once again shows artists’ re-imagined versions of covers of banned or challenged books; and iMOCA invites visitors to search Fountain Square and the southern end of downtown for hidden works by twelve artists as part of “Finders Keepers.”
