The nonprofit volunteer organization that puts on the 500 Festival Parade and other events is moving its headquarters to an office building downtown. 500 Festival plans to move its operations to 21 Virginia Ave., near Jefferson Plaza and the Broadbent Building (previously known as the Zipper Building). The deal gives the organization about 10,000 square feet of space, including part of the first floor and the entire mezzanine, along with naming rights to the 25,000-square-foot building. 500 Festival is now headquartered in a house at Meridian and 30th streets.
