Local senior-living complex more than doubles assisted-living units in $5M expansion
Locally based J.C. Hart Co. has broken ground on a $19 million apartment community at the northeast corner of 116th Street and College Avenue in the Carmel Performing Arts District. The "urban inspired" One One Six Apartments will feature 191 units in nine buildings including two loft-style structures served by elevators and designed to appeal particularly to active seniors. The City of Carmel supported the project with a $2.1 million tax-increment revenue bond. Key Bank provided the private financing. The project should be ready for occupancy by next summer.
