Kroger is looking at land in Zionsville for a new store. The Cincinnati-based grocer is in talks with the owners of Altum’s Garden Center along Michigan Road between 106th and 116th Streets, real estate sources say. Owner Dana Altum declined to comment on a potential sale. She said the 51-year-old family business is open and will remain open for the foreseeable future. A spokesman for Kroger also would not comment on a potential deal. Kroger does not yet have a store in Zionsville. Its closest locations are along West 86th Street just west of Township Line Road and at 71st Street and Georgetown Road.
